The metaphysics of life

Often we have seen life take unexpected turns. Even though we think that we have planned everything out , we are still left surprised by the course of our lives.

Isn't it foolhardiness on our part to think ourselves to be the masters of our fate , the controller of our lives?
We have no idea from where we have come and where we will go , we live our lives with identities imposed on us by the people around us , respond to the name we have been assigned . Instead of dwelling on the metaphysics of life we avert our intellect to the unstable and momentary aspects of existence which are bound to afflict us with troubles - just like causing waves in still water.

We think in terms of the conditionings of our forms - male or female , by our identities .It is true that humans , after all are social beings , longing for connections to assert their individual existence. Building connections , you see , is not the issue, but when we come in contact with all sorts of people they bring several impressions to our minds making us further restless , disturbed and even more unsatisfied.
We never seem to be satisfied by anything in life.  Why is that so?
We are meant for the best .
Our Real nature is that of being One , in harmony with all that there ever is.

Discarding the conditionings of life , one by one , books for us,  a rendezvous with our Real Self .

The  metaphysics of life is far more splendid than mere speculation .
Monks and saints who have treaded the length and breadth of India have looked inwards rather than engaging in  petty materialism.
Since we are stuck in an adverse situation, it is natural to have existential queries.

The mere thought of death is such , that , it brings life in proper light .
We see how we are walking straight to our graves.
Birth itself is a temporary amusement, a trance to keep us from ourselves , death is but the revelation of who we are eternally.

The world is the great gymnasium where we come to make ourselves strong."
                          - Swami Vivekananda

If we are nudged to think deeply in terms of metaphysics we might be able to recognise that everything around us including ourselves is but a result of an all- encompassing consciousness which  through the clay figures of humans and millions of life forms is at play in a way, trying to understand itself . Oh how splendid it is!!!!
But for what?
One might ask.

For that we have to go behind consciousness and witness it at play. We have to become simply VOID .
A flute is completely empty inside , which enables it to hold the air and  the player manipulates it to create wonderful melodies.
Simply emptying oneself of every hint of emotional colour, identity, form , thought and even the awareness of one's existence throws open the locked doors of the universal consciousness.
Because if you are not anything, you become EVERYTHING.

" Inquire after the Supreme cause of this world. Search! From where has everything come? How is everything maintaining itself? By whom? And ultimately , where does everything enter after death? That is spirit, the most fundamental plane from where everything springs up, remains and ultimately enters.

O sons of nectar! You were born to taste nectar, and you must not allow yourselves to be satisfied by anything but nectar. So, however misguided you may be for the time being, awake!

Arise! Search for that nectar, that satisfaction. It is the wealth of your own soul. It cannot be but within you. "
